We hope you’re enjoying this holiday season! Today’s Music Monday video is another session in our Closet Covers series.
We’re spittin’ heat in this cover of Drummer Boy by Justin Bieber and Busta Rhymes! Come check out our rapping skills!
Let us know what you think and what songs you would like to hear us do cover versions of!
People often ask us where we record our music. The answer? Drumroll, please….
In our closets!!
We have also recorded in our cars, in business offices, and even in real studios, but you will usually find us recording vocals in our closets. (*Bonus- The clothes help create a bit of soundproofing!)
Since we do spend so much time recording in our closets, we thought we’d have a segment on Music Mondays called Closet Covers, where we will do covers of some of our favorite songs in our little closet studios.
First in our Closet Covers series is a classic and well-loved song from our early childhood, “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics.
The awesome arrangement of this cover was made by our good friend, Josh Osgood. You can find him here: https://www.facebook.com/JoshOsgoodMusic/
Watch our Closet Cover of “Sweet Dreams” below!
Thanks so much for watching! We hope you enjoyed this acoustic take on this classic song! Let us know other songs you would like to be featured in our Closet Covers series!
In honor of Star Wars Day, we are sharing songs with some relation to stars or space or Star Wars today!
Angels On The Moon by Thriving Ivory
This is an older song, but not super well known. It should be, however, as the lyrics are really beautiful.
Never Had by Oscar Isaac
I have to include one of my all time favorite songs, and before you think it doesn’t have anything to do with May the 4th, my dear friend Oscar Isaac who wrote and performs this song, is in the new Star Wars movie!!! He’s the pilot in all the new trailers. I’m so excited for him to be a part of such an amazing film and I’m so excited to share this gorgeous song with you all. It’s not an official video, but it still lets you hear the song.
A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay
We adore Coldplay and also thought about sharing a throwback to their song Yellow but figured most people on the planet have already heard and love that song 🙂 Same goes for Champagne Supernova by Oasis. Then we remembered lots of other awesome songs that you’ve probably already heard, but they’re fun to share for Star Wars Day! So, here’s a little list of those as well, in no particular order:
Intergalactic by Beastie Boys
Counting Stars by One Republic
Shooting the Moon by Ok Go
Fade Into You by Mazzy Star
What are some of your favorite celestial themed songs or songs by artists with starry names?? Share in the comments below and May the Fourth Be With You!!
